Our vision is to enhance students' potentiality through identification and proper intervention, helping them to make a productive member of the society.
Manovikas Kendra’s New Alipore Unit serves as an extended centre for special education and vocational training, catering to children and young adults with special needs. The entire two-storeyed building, generously donated by the philanthropic figure Late Namita Gupta, is dedicated to this noble cause. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the dedicated team at Manovikas Kendra successfully addressed these obstacles through effective planning. The New Alipore Unit swiftly adapted by offering online academic classes and a wide range of activities, including yoga, games, music, art & craft, non-flame cooking, dance, dish decoration and gift packing, all guided by special educators. Additionally, students received specialised instruction in Language & Speech Development, Occupational Therapy and Counselling. The New Alipore Unit also successfully conducted baking and computer practical classes for OBE students. Furthermore, a new programme was introduced, providing students with an opportunity to engage in Art and Design classes.
